The Full Story
Caravana cu Medici was founded by ambitious medical students in Bucharest back in 2014 who were keenly aware of the challenges within their healthcare system and were determined to contribute to its improvement.
Since then, the organization has expanded its reach, establishing additional branches to cover more regions of Romania. Presently, six teams operate in distinct areas, united by a shared mission to enhance healthcare accessibility and quality throughout the country.
These branches are part of the same organization, but each operates independently. Therefore, all donations raised through our project will be allocated to the Cluj branch.
Mission
Caravana cu Medici has two key ideas aimed at addressing healthcare needs across Romania. The first involves deploying mobile units to remote areas, where they not only provide general healthcare services but also focus on specific topics such as women's and children's health.
Additionally, Caravana cu Medici implements an education program that includes first aid seminars. By equipping individuals with basic first aid skills, this initiative empowers communities to respond effectively to medical emergencies, potentially saving lives in critical situations.
Together, these initiatives work towards improving healthcare accessibility and promoting health awareness throughout Romania.
